About
Example category structures, presented via a navigable viewer (which requires javascript enabled in your browser).
The examples reflect the data in their sources, and therefore illustrate the inherent challenges ahead.
We're trying to encourage people to work towards a common solution for a universal classification system (although a seemingly unachievable goal).
We've used data and code from a variety of sources - if you'd like to get involved (or complain that we've contravened some copyright), please contact us (via admin@mindmachine.co.uk)
Various data sources have been processed to create filesystem hierarchical directory structures, dynamically traversed and presented using javascript code (deployed with node.js). This is based on the d3.js ontology viewer as used on the Computer Science Ontology portal at cso.kmi.open.ac.uk
The top page navigation menu uses SmartMenus for jQuery.
